When Richard M. became interested in putting solar on his house just outside San Diego in Escondido, California, he did what any professional building contractor would do: he evaluated the options.

Today, the Richard's Mission-style tile roof is neatly arrayed with 45 SunPower solar panels. Because of SunPower's superior energy output, fewer panels are required to generate the power needed to offset the entire family's monthly utility bill. Richard tracks their savings from solar every month.

"I have no electric bill, and that's exactly what I was looking for from solar," he explains.^*Electricity cost savings will vary based on several factors, including geographic location, roof and home orientation, access to sunlight, system size, panel type, electrical usage as well as availability of local incentives such as net metering.

In fact, Richard is so satisfied with the savings and overall experience, that he's now looking into adding solar for his business, too. And he knows exactly who to call to get the job done right.
