The Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC) is the annual conference and tradeshow presented by the California Building Industry Association (CBIA) in partnership with Leading Builders of America.
SunPower had an exhibit to showcase expertise on the latest solar storage technology, Title 24 Compliance and zero cost financing.
“It was remarkable to see the high interest in energy storage technology,” said Troy Bevilacqua, Leader of SunPower New Homes Sales. “It is evident that homebuilders understand that an elegant and robust energy storage solution is not part of the future, it is part of today. Being able to offer our builder customers different energy storage options, in brand and functionality, allows them to select the product that best aligns with their product needs and is a huge differentiator for SunPower New Homes.”

TikTok and Instagram videos
Gen Z is starting to leave the nest and millennials are in their peak buying years. To be accessible to the Gen Z Audience and Millennial audience, it is advantageous to use social media videos, TikTok and Instagram in particular, to present information and content in a simple way in under a minute.
A car-free neighborhood
Did you know that in some cases, Electronic Vehicles (EVs) can increase a home’s energy use[MED1] by about 50%?*U.S. Energy Information Administration notes that the average annual electricity consumption for a U.S. residential utility customer in 2021 was 10,632 kilowatt hours (kWh), an average of about 886 kWh per month. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Americans drive on average, 13,476 miles per year, or 36.92 miles per day. Using the average EV’s energy consumption, a home EV charger would use around 11.81 kWh per day to charge the car to replenish the range driven. This translates to about 353.3 kWh per month and 4,310.65 kWh per year. Even if a homeowner is looking to lower their carbon footprint with an EV, unless they have a large enough solar + storage system, they might need to tap into the grid to maintain their EV energy needs. Imagine if there was a car-free neighborhood? There is! We heard from a developer who has created one in Tempe, Arizona.
