For more than a decade esaSolar, now rebranded as SunPower by esaSolar, has been a global leader in providing sustainable energy solutions, completing more than 500 projects on three continents.
We’ve worked with more than 40 utility companies and more than 100 local governments across the United States, but our passion has always been for our local Central Florida marketplace. We’re honored that SunPower, a leader in solar technology for more than 34 years, is showing faith in our ability to bring our global experience to local homeowners.
SunPower has hundreds of expert home solar installers nationwide, but only about three dozen have earned the Master Dealer title. Located in a dozen states, these dealers install SunPower solar systems exclusively. SunPower selects its Master Dealers based on the quality of their work, customer service satisfaction, how well they train their workforce and their dedication to their local communities.
Unlike most companies that start small and focus on home solar installations, then work up to larger commercial and industrial scale projects, SunPower by esaSolar started big. The ESA brand has been recognized as a strong developer and engineering firm for many years. We wanted to bring the same engineering approach to our residential customers.
Our company began focusing on the Central Florida residential solar market in 2015. We’re passionate about helping to shape the energy industry and consider ourselves innovators in the solar space.
Florida’s solar market shifts to growth
While Florida’s solar policies have lagged behind other states, the trend has shifted and significant growth is expected, according to the Solar Energy Industries Association, which says the state ranks 2nd for projected capacity installed over the next five years, with nearly 5.5 gigawatts expected to come online.
In 2018, the Orlando Utilities Commission launched OUCollective Solar, an innovative program that makes it easier and more affordable than ever for OUC residential electric customers to install rooftop solar panels. Following a competitive bidding process, OUC chose esaSolar to design and install turnkey solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at a discounted price using OUC’s collective buying power.
The OUCollective Solar program simplifies the process and brings transparency and choice to the solar-buying experience. OUC customers can schedule a free, no-obligation consultation with an energy advisor and receive a comprehensive solar suitability analysis with a 3D system design and three competitive quotes for their properties.
SunPower by esaSolar also has an impressive portfolio of local commercial projects, including an installation of more than 232 SunPower panels for the City of Satellite Beach.
