During power outages, internet and cellular connectivity may be impacted. We recommend that your wireless router be plugged into a circuit that’s backed up by your SunVault in order to improve the likelihood of maintaining your WiFi connection.
If your WiFi connection is unavailable during an outage, SunVault will attempt to connect via cellular. This communication mode is generally slower and may be less reliable during a power outage because cellular bandwidth is reduced for non-emergency uses.
To connect SunVault to your home network from your mySunPower app, go to the PROFILE tab, tap SYSTEM CONNECTION, and then tap WiFi Settings. The app will automatically scan for available networks and enable you to select your WiFi network, enter the password, and connect.
