The 579-megawatt Solar Star Projects (formerly Antelope Valley Solar Projects) consist of two co-located projects in Kern and Los Angeles Counties in California, that together, form the largest permitted solar photovoltaic power development in the world. Learn more.
MidAmerican Solar, a subsidiary of MidAmerican Renewables, acquired the Solar Star Projects in December 2012. SunPower Corporation was the developer of the projects; will be the engineering, procurement and construction contractor; and will provide operations and maintenance services for the plants via a multiyear services agreement.
